Celebration of Life
There will be a Celebration of Life for Mary Irene Gardner on Saturday, July 17th at 2:00 p.m. from St. Michael and All Angels Anglican church on Park Drive, Corner Brook, with The Venerable Edward King officiating. Please join our family as we gather to honour and celeratate her life of over more than 94 years.
Facial mask and social distancing required in complienace with Covid Government Regulations at that time.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Irene Gardner announce her death on February 18, 2021 at the Palliative Care Unit at the age of 94 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children : Daphne Preston (Brian), Brockville, Ontario and Brad ( Daphne) , Massey Drive ; grandchildren, Scott (Kim), Jeff (Cynthia), Paul ( Melissa) Preston and Kevin (Crystal) and Jenna ( Nigel) Gardner; Seven great grandchildren: Katie, Jessica, Madison, Isabella, Reid, Juliette, Olivia; sisters: Fran Tavener, Corner Brook, Nellie Snow, Topsail CBS; sisters in laws : Blanche Cooper, Gander and Shirley Kearley, Topsail CBS as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, friends including very special friends made at Mountain View Retirement Home . The staff and friends there have certainly been like family, adding such joy to her life in the past eight plus years.
She was predeceased by her husband George, son Randy, daughter Linda and parents Frances and Walter Kearley.
Because of recent NL Government COVID restrictions, a private family interment will take place at Mount Patricia with Rev. Ed King officiating. A celebration of life may be planned at a later date as COVID restrictions allow.
The family extends heartfelt appreciation for the expert and compassionate care Mary and the family have received over the past number of days from staff at 3rd floor Western Health and Palliative Care Unit.
