Marjorie Elder passed away on June 23, 2021 in the Pasqua Hospital, Regina, Saskatchewan. She was born on July 24, 1930 in Star City, Saskatchewan.
She leaves behind her 2 children Denise (Ross) Gratias of Regina, Saskatchewan and David (Jacquie) Elder of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; her sister Eleanor Zuk of Edmonton, Alberta; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Marjorie married Leonard in 1955. They settled in Star City where they owned the Texaco Gas Station on Main Street. She loved her home in Star City, where she lived until 2017.
Marjorie was always a hard worker. She loved to garden and planted a huge vegetable garden every year until 2017. Marjorie’s sewing machine was always humming, turning out dresses for herself and her grandchildren and doing alterations for many neighbors until her mid-eighties. She also worked for a few years sewing draperies for a business in Melfort, Saskatchewan. She worked at house painting for a few years as well.
Marjorie was hospitable and everyone that came was served her good strong coffee and some homemade baking.
Marjorie loved to share her bible-based hope of better times ahead for the Earth and mankind.
A Private Graveside Service will be held at a later date.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Marjorie Elder June 23rd 2021..
