Obituary of Brenda Halfpenny
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Brenda on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at the Sault Area Hospital at the age of 57. Loving husband and soulmate of Patrick for 33 years. Dear mother of Candice. Grandmother of Jaxon. Daughter of the late Frank and Jean Medaglia. Beloved sister of Frank Jr. (Nancy). Cherished aunt of Nate and Maggie, Taylor and Blake. Daughter-in-law of Ron and Eileen Halfpenny. Sister-in-law of Brian. Brenda enjoyed cruising the Magpie on the pontoon boat and catching fish was a bonus. She enjoyed music and concerts but didn’t finish her bucket list. A warm getaway on March break was always a treat, however she loved Canada and enjoyed seeing many different parts of it. Brenda enjoyed her career and the staff at Sir James Dunn and Superior Heights, but most of all she loved the students and always saw the good in everyone. She had an amazing sense of humour and an infectious laugh. Cooking, entertaining family and friends and knitting blankets were her passion, but she missed her calling as a decorator. She made our house a home and went right to town at graduation time. A private family visitation will be held on Friday, July 2, 2021 at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758). Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Sault Ste. Marie, the SAH Cancer Care Fund or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
