With great sadness we announce the passing of Freddy (Fred) Lippens, age 74 of Milton Ontario, died peacefully on June 18, 2021. He was born in Amsterdam but immigrated to Canada alone when he was 17 years old. He was preceded in death by his wife Edith Josephine Lippens, married for 42 years. He is survived by his two children: Michelle and Tracy (Tim) Ward, and only grandchild Tori. Fred is also survived by his 3 siblings; Adrie Zijlemaker, Rudy (Christine) and Hans (Inge). He will be sadly missed by his daughters, son-in-law, granddaughter, siblings, brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews and all those who knew him. His humor and the great stories he told will be forever missed by so many people. He always made everyone laugh. He was a hardworking, talented welder for many years. His passions were spending time with his family, fishing, watching car racing and trying his luck at the casino. He was always smiling and could make the best Dutch food, especially his yearly tradition of making olliebollen.
Due to covid restrictions, a celebration of his life will be held at a later date so family and friends can gather together.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
