Eric Thomas Barker
1951-2021
Eric Thomas Barker – age 70, of New
Minas, passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 in the Valley Regional
Hospital, Kentville. Born in Windsor, he was a son of the late Wesley
and Margaret (Graham) Barker.
Eric had been employed as a house painter until
his retirement. He was a loving husband and enjoyed spending time with
family and friends.
Eric is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Keddy)
Barker; daughter, Cheryl Graves (Wendell Browning), Auburn; brothers,
William (Sandra) Barker, Windsor, and David (Heather) Barker,
Hantsport; grandchildren, Jessica Graves (Riley Jess-MacDonald), Port
Williams, and Lucas Browning, Auburn; several nieces and
nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased
by sisters, Shirley Begin, Jean Smith, and Judy
Lyons.
Cremation has taken place. A service will be
held at a later date.
The family would like to express their sincere
appreciation to the First Responders and the Valley Regional Hospital
for the care, kindness, and compassion provided to
Eric.
Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian
Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova
Scotia. Funeral arrangements have been
entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
