Debra Bernice Glass was born on April 21, 1963 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Fletcher Glass and Robertine Chappell Glass. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1981 and completed an Associate’s degree in Communications in college in Knoxville, TN. Debra worked as a Medical Secretary for Fort Sanders Medical Center and was very active in the Parent and Teachers Associations in her children’s’ schools before she retired.
Debra departed this life on Thursday, May 27, 2021. She was preceded in death by her sister, Constance Glass; brothers in law Cornelius Justice and Charles Dixon; nephew Dexter Glass; and niece Journey Glass.
Debra was a devoted mother, grandmother, and aunt. She is survived by her three children: Quintella (Bradley) Anderson, Steven (Nilah) Mayfield, and Ashley Glass; 9 grandchildren, Aishia, Isaiah, Brandon, Quentin, Shania, Mahlaya, Halina, Mya, Myles; and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Family will receive friends on Friday, June 4, 2021, at Bridges Funeral Home, from 11:30-1:00PM, with the service to follow at 1:00PM, officiated by Pastor Clift Amos.
