It is with great sadness that the family of Irene announce her passing, peacefully at home on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at the age of 72. She endured a lengthy cancer battle with much dignity, grace and endless strength. Much beloved wife to Gerald of 53 years, a loving mother to Karen (James) and Edward (Carolyn), a cherished granny to Riley, Abigayle, Jocelyn and Hannah, as well as an adored sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She also holds a special place in the hearts of the Moffatt family. Irene was the sweetest, kindest, giving women who made a lasting impression on those whose lives she touched. She was an inspiration to us all and will be deeply missed. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be arranged at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Cancer Society or SickKids Foundation.
