Peacefully at the Colville Manor, Souris on Saturday, May 8, 2021, Kathleen “Kay” Mooney passed away with her loving family by her side. She was in her 94th year of St. Catherines, PE. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Arthur Stephen and was the precious mother of Debbie Arnason (Trygve), Irene MacLeod (Allan), Eric (Brenda), Erroll (Debbie), Harold (John), Merlin (Patty), David (Judy), Andy (Lorraine), Darlene Bushey (Brian) and Juanita Cahill (Chris). Kay was also a proud grammy to 26 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. In addition, she will be sadly missed by her sister Isabel Carpenter.
The family wishes to acknowledge the exceptional care that was given to their mother during her stay at the Colville Manor. The support provided by the doctors, nurses and all the staff are deeply appreciated and will be forever remembered. Predeceased by her parents Henry and Elizabeth Chaisson; siblings Everette, Freddy, Merlin, Anna, Mildred, Dotty, Billie and three grandchildren Gwendolyn and Gordon MacLeod and Trygve Arnason.
Resting at Dingwell Funeral Home where visiting hours will take place for family only. A funeral mass will be held at the St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Due to public health restrictions, all services are by invitation only. If so desired, donations made to the St. Mary’s Cemetery Fund or the Colville Manor Activity Department would be greatly appreciated by the family.
