SAUNDERS, Nicholas James – Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at the age of 86. Predeceased by daughter, Leona and sons, Brian, Dean and Perry; parents, Nicholas and Helen Saunders; sisters: Mary, Lillian and Helen; brother, Frank; and brother-in-law, John Bambrick. Leaving to mourn sons: Nicholas and Eugene; sisters: Margaret Bambrick and Catherine O’Leary (Paul); also leaving to mourn long-time friends: Bill Bailey and Mona Hicks; a large number of nieces and nephews, as well as his circle of friends at Parkdale Manor, Mount Pearl. Heartfelt thanks to the nursing staff of 1North and 2East Palliative Care at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home, for their excellent care and compassion. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Caul’s Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nicholas’ memory to the St. Patrick’s Mercy Home Foundation or a charity of one’s choice.
