Peacefully at St. Peter’s Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada on Sunday, July 5, 2020 Xingfang Chen at the age of 66 years. Beloved wife of Jiayuan Zhang for 41 years. Loving mother of Hui Zhang and her husband Yong Xing. Cherished grandmother of Catherine Xing. Dear daughter of Shaoying Wang and the late Mingjie Chen and sister to Xiangyun Zhang, Mingfang Wei, Xiangrong Zhang, Xianghua Zhang, Linyu Zhang and Xiangying Zhang. Xingfang will be sadly missed by her cousins Xingxiang Chen, Zhengli Wang, Xuemei Wang and Xueping Wang. Xingfang was born in Dangtu, Anhui, P.R.China on December 4, 1953. She graduated from the University of Science and Technology of China in Hefei, Anhui, P.R.China. She worked at the Anhui University of Technology in Ma’anshan, Anhui, P.R.China for over 35 years and was an associate professor who was responsible for university teachers’ training and management. Xingfang and Jiayuan immigrated to Canada on April 9, 2019. Xingfang loved life and always had a cheerful personality. She was warm, friendly, caring and helpful to anyone. She loved listening to music, singing ,dancing, traveling and wished to travel around the world with Jiayuan. Xingfang was always looking to make new friends and talk as well as willing to accept and try new things. As a grandmother, she loved her only granddaughter Catherine very much and wished to watch her go to university someday. She will be missed very much by all her school mates, colleagues and friends in China. Private Family Services will take place.
