It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Win Fleming on July 8th 2020 at Eagle Ridge Hospital.
Win was born the 4th child of 11 to Jesse May and John Steadman of Regina in Baring, SK. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Stewart in 1994, she is survived by daughters Heather (Gene) and Laurie (Tim), sons Tim and Murray (Pauline), 8 grandchildren and 5 1/2 great-grandchildren, sister Doris of Comox and brothers Mervyn and Wayne of Regina, as well as many many nieces and nephews. Renowned for her quick wit and generous spirit (as well as her legendary baking skills!) she was an inspiration to all who knew her. She will be missed especially by her Trinity United Church family of Port Coquitlam, the “Bridge Ladies”, neighbours and friends from around the world as well as alumni of Regina General Hospital class of ’51 where she was Head Nurse of Pediatrics.
The family is deeply grateful to the dedicated staffs of Royal Columbian and Eagle Ridge Hospitals for their care and compassion in the last 3 months.
