It is with deep sadness that the family of William Preshing announces his passing on December 21, 2019 at the age of 90 years.
Bill will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Lillian; children, Bill (Christine), Susan (Chris), and Carolyn; grandchildren, David, Nathan, Emma, Soren, and Karen; as well as nieces, nephews and dear friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, John and Teresa and brothers, William, Ingy (“Peter”), and John.
Bill had a lengthy career in academia, with multiple teaching and administrative positions at the University of Alberta. He served on numerous Boards and Foundations and was well known and sought after as a speaker. He came to athletics later in life and had great success as a runner and Fun Run organizer. His kind nature and desire to tell jokes made gatherings of any size among his favorite places to be. He treasured time with family above anything else.

(there are some extra T-shirts we can give you if you don’t have one!!!)
No formal Program, but around 2:30 we’ll invite anyone who wishes to step up to the mike and share a story or a memory of Dad.
