SABEAN, Wilfred “Bill” ~ We are saddened to announce the passing of Wilfred “Bill” Edwin Sabean in Soldier’s Memorial Hospital, Middleton, NS on September 10, 2020. Wilfred was born in Port Lorne, NS on February 15, 1934 to the late Edwin and Mildred (Alride) Sabean. He graduated from Bridgetown Regional High School in 1952. He held several finance postings over the years starting with the Imperial Bank of Canada in Halifax and then Montreal and finishing as chief accountant in a family owned jewelry business in New York, NY, USA. Upon retiring in 1988, he moved back to Port Lorne. He enjoyed several winters in North Port, Florida and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; as well he travelled to other warm destinations. Eventually he moved to Crosskill Court in Bridgetown approximately three years ago where he resided until his passing. He is predeceased by his parents and brothers, Perry, Curtis (Max), Keith and Wesley. He is survived by his sister Evelyn (Douglas) Feltmate of Halifax and brother, Allan (Doris) of Morinville, AB, sisters in law, Margaret, Clara and June, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. A special “thank you” to his good friends, Gary and Frances Connell, who were always there for him and Dr. Grant Goodine for his years of care. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St. 902-825-3448. Cremation has taken place and a public graveside service will be held on September 26, 2020 at 1:30 pm in Fundy View Cemetery, Port Lorne, with Rev. Stephen Wade officiating.
