La célébration de
Wilfred « Bill » Davison
19 février 1926 –
4 novembre 2020
In the early hours of November 4th, 2020, at the Alta Vista Manor in Ottawa, Wilfred ‘Bill’ Davison, passed away quietly with the strength and courage he showed all his life. He would have turned 95 in February 2021.
Beloved husband of Margaret Veitch, Bill was the loving father of Peter Howard and the caring father-in-law of Louise. He will be fondly remembered by his nephews and nieces, their spouses and children, and the friends of the family. His passing leaves a big void in our lives. He was predeceased by his four siblings: Anne (Bob), Tom (Lillian), Joe (Eveline) and Hilda (Munroe).
Bill and Margaret came to Canada from England in 1955, with their two-year old son, Peter Howard. They would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in December of this year. Bill dedicated his life to his family and his work, including building a cottage. He worked for the Ottawa Board of Education for over 30 years. He was a WW2 veteran seeing action in Europe and serving in Palestine.
Special thanks go to the third floor staff of the Alta Vista Manor for their kindness and care.
Cremation has taken place and a quiet family gathering and celebration of life will be held at the cottage at a yet undetermined time, hopefully in the spring. Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army. Online condolences can be made at www.colefuneralservices.com
