Obituary of Wendy Pearl Harding-Stewart
Wendy Pearl Harding-Stewart of Devon, NB, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2020 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born on July 25, 1959 in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of the late George and Marjorie (Wallace) Harding.
Wendy worked at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital for 42 years within various departments. She was a member of the Riverside Toastmasters Club, the Rise and Shine Advanced Toastmasters Club, and proud member of Toastmasters International. She held several positions culminating in two years on the Toastmaster International Board of Directors.
Wendy is survived by her husband, Karl Stewart; stepson, Jordan (Danielle) Stewart; father in law, Frank Stewart (Vera Irion); brothers, Richard (Frances) Harding and Gary (Heather) Harding; sister, Mary Lee Danahy; brothers in law, Steven (Gloria) Stewart, Peter (Gail) Stewart and John (Rachel) Stewart; chosen sister in law, Margo Biggs; grandchildren, Deven, Alexis and Nicholas Stewart; special nephews, Gregory (Michelle) Harding, Joshua (Chelsea) Harding, Jacob (Amanda) Danahy and Jonathan (Mary) Danahy; special niece, Melissa Stewart; several nieces and nephews; chosen sisters, Kathy Kowalski, Sheryl McNamara, and Heather Perkins. In addition to her parents, Wendy was predeceased by her mother in law, Grace Stewart and brothers in law, David and Keith Stewart and Francis Danahy.
Honorary pallbearers are Jordan Stewart, Peter Stewart, Joe Grondin (DTMAS), Richard Peck (DTM, International President), Jim Kokocki (DTM, PIP), Carl Duivendorden (DTM, PDG), Shane Walsh (DTM, PDD), and Alan Idler (DTM).
A special thank you to the wonderful staff of the Cardiac Care Unit and the Intensive Care Unit.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 from 7 to 9 pm at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Dr. Fredericton, NB. A Private Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at 2 pm. The public is invited to view live through the funeral home’s website (www.yorkfh.com). Interment will take place at the Lincoln Cemetery.
