Obituary
Wendy passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at the age of 63. She was recently diagnosed with cancer and was taken way too soon.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 43 years Brett Hobbs, her son Jeremy Hobbs, her grandson Jaxon Hobbs, her mother Laura Rempel, brothers Clyde (Nancy), Rodney, and Robin Rempel. As well, she leaves behind her mother-in-law Edith Slous and many nieces and nephews.
Wendy enjoyed her career of over 40 years in accounting for the oil industry, starting with Pacific Petroleum which later became a part of Petro Canada and then for Suncor Energy. She relished her job and earned the respect of co-workers and peers. She took special pride in her involvement in the SAIT Energy Asset Management Program as it was being implemented. When work was done, she loved the simpler things in life like camping with friends and a glass of wine. She managed to enjoy over five years of retirement. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
