Wayne E C Swinamer
1954-2020
Wayne Swinamer was born on October 31, 1954 to Barbara
(Clark) and Edward Swinamer (d. 2006). Growing up in Riverview, Wayne
was always ready for an adventure – from building forts in the saw
dust pile to hunting and trapping with his buddies in the swamp to
jumping on a moving freight train just for fun!
He was free spirited, had an immense love for life and family
and a wicked sense of humour. There were never any problems for Wayne,
he always had a solution and found a way to make things happen.
Wayne’s beaming smile would light up any room and he was our
source of all random knowledge and facts.
He will be dearly missed by the love of his life, and wife of
30 years, Lori Rogers and his proudest accomplishments, his children,
Stephanie (Lukasz), Andrew, and Jessica. He was a loving
« Waynepa » to Noah and Isla and cherished by his siblings
Jenneth, Cheryl (Byron), Margaret Ann (Dave), David, sister in law
Jane and long time family friend Marita. He will be fondly remembered
by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Wayne enjoyed fishing, playing the guitar, listening to music
and cooking a feast for others. You could find him outside tending to
his secret garden, driving around town in his beamer, or puttering
around the family farm in Walton, N.S.
A celebration of Wayne’s life will take place at a
later date. In the meantime, everyone who knew Wayne is
asked to raise a glass of their favourite drink in his memory and
smile – he will be there.
A special thank you to the ICU team at the Dr.
