It is with a sad heart that we have to say goodbye to our loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and Uncle, Walter Herbert Grimoldby. Wally passed away in hospital on Dec 14, 2020, at the age of 83. He is predeceased by his loving wife Lucille, son Barry Bakalech, parents Orva and Herbert Grimoldby, brothers Eddie, Robert, and Barry, and his sister Helen.
He leaves behind son Jay Grimoldby (Shelley) daughter Melody House (Floyd) son Terry Bakalech (Sue) and daughter Cheryl Dominiuk (Don). Grandchildren Cassandra, Matthew, Katelyn, Ashley, Jason, Sarah, Nic, Karlee, and Katie. Great-grandchildren Brent, Jackson, Johnathan, and 2-week-old Alix. Brothers Dennis (Janet), Dale (Irene), and Twin sister Kay Olynych. In-Laws Bunny Grimoldby, Henriette Levasseur, Myrtle Douville and Paul Douville (Charlene Orr) and many Nieces, Nephews, and cousins.
Wally was a fun-loving, caring man who loved people and making everyone smile. He enjoyed all sports and a good card game!
Born in Viking, AB moved to Beverly for most of his life, worked as a glazier in Sherwood Park and Edmonton.
He was a founding member of the Sherwood Park Kinsmen and a K40 member until the end. His passing will leave a large hole in everyone who knew and love him. In Lieu of flowers please make a donation to Edmonton Epilepsy Association.
