Obituary
In the early morning hours of Tuesday, December 24, 2019, Luigia (Geige) Unwin passed away at home at the age of 92 years. Geige was born on October 4, 1927 in Valvasone, Italy to Assunta and Giacomo Manarin.
Geige was a gifted artist, an excellent seamstress and a prolific knitter and crocheter. Family members and friends are often the lucky recipients of beautiful afghans and sweaters. Geige was also an avid walker and dog lover and constantly explored the surrounding area with her dogs. She will be greatly missed by all of us.
Geige is survived by her three children; Terry (Donna), Susan (Paul) and Stacey (Glen) as well as six lovely granddaughters; Cody, Kate, Casey, Cydney, Emily and Morgan, and two great grandsons and one great granddaughter. Also left behind is her sister Mary Martin and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jim and Lil Ratcliffe. She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Sid Unwin, her mother and father Assunta and Giacomo Manarin and her brother Bruno Manarin.
