With deep sorrow, we announce the peaceful passing at home of our husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, Tony Garito.
Tony is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Rita, his children Colleen (Hugh), Laurie-Ann (Randy), Christine (Antoine), Gord (Josée), Tanya (Mark) Terri-Lynne (Robbie), his grandchildren Alex (Ashley), Katy, Bella, Amanda, Brandon (Nicole), Blake, Brody, Ben, Jessie, Dominique, Patrick, Chelsea, Dylan, Naomi, Jayden, Emylynn, Steven, Samantha, Natalia, Maya, his great-grandchildren Juliette, Parker, Alric, Rebel, Nicsson, Dexter and Alex and his beloved dog Gioia.
He was predeceased by his parents Francesco and Nicolina and his cherished infant son Frankie.
Tony had a profound love for his family and his Italian heritage. He also took great pride in his roles as Past President of the Porcupine Dante Club and Retired Chief of the Mountjoy Volunteer Fire Department.
We are grateful for the compassionate care provided to him at home and in hospital, especially from Dr. Bill Yates, Dr. Sonia DiTullio, Lia Holmes, Michelle and Gina from the NELHIN and Chris Bacvar and his team from Bacvar Pharmacy.
Due to Covid, a private family service will take place. Donations to Timmins and District Hospital in his memory would be appreciated. Cremation services have been entrusted with LESSARD-STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME. Online condolences or donations can be made at www.lessardstephens.com
