Obituary of Tom McIntyre
McINTYRE: Thomas Edison « Tom » –
A resident of Chatham, Tom McIntyre passed away at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at the age of 84.
Born in Birmingham, Michigan, Tom was the son of the late A.D. and Gertrude (Lange) McIntyre.
Beloved husband of 64 years to Vera McIntyre (nee Monstrey).
Loving father to Wayne McIntyre (Judith) of Watford and Karen Montgomery (John) of Chatham.
Proud Grandpa to Michelle Bosch (Phil), Jason Montgomery and Matthew Montgomery (Sara).
Great-Grandpa to Sage Bosch and Gracie, Graydon, and Rayner Montgomery.
Predeceased by his brother Richard « Dick » McIntyre.
Brother-in-law to Gary Monstrey (Paulette) of Wallaceburg.
Also missed by friends and extended family.
Tom retired as a Purchasing Agent for Western Equipment after over 37 years of service. Following his retirement, Tom and Vera golfed six days a week and enjoyed playing euchre up until the week before he passed. When not on the course, Tom enjoyed watching golf and baseball on television.
Due to the circumstances surrounding Covid-19, a private family service will be held for Tom with an interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery.
