Obituary for Tiny Deeder
Tiny Deeder (nee Hoofwijk)
February 15, 1929 – December 30, 2020
Tiny passed away peacefully at the Fountain View Care Community in Toronto at the age of 91 years.
She is survived by her children, sons Andre (and Linda), Joe (and Sue) and her daughters Marjo (and Henk), Tonnie (and Don), Margaret (and Gary) and Liz (and †Mike). Tiny was predeceased by her daughter Joanne. She will be fondly remembered by her many grand children and great grand children.
Tiny was born in the Netherlands and lived most of her younger years there raising her children. She was brave enough to immigrate to Canada in 1967 where she adapted quickly to a new life and learning a new language. She worked hard to provide for her kids, all the while being a loving and devoted mother. She loved to garden and many passerby’s would stop and admire her beautiful flower beds and well kept lawn in the neighbourhood which she lived in Toronto. She loved to play Bingo, do word search puzzles and go for long drives to visit her children.
Tiny will be greatly missed and remembered as someone who devoted her life to her children. She was very proud of all her grand children and great grand children. A special thank you to all the staff at Fountain View Care community who took great care of her during the past few years, and everyone who has given their love and support to Tiny’s family.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a celebration of life will not be held at this time.
