Thomas Richard Price
1948-2020
Thomas Richard Price, 72, of Hillsborough passed
away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on September 26th, 2020 at the
Moncton Hospital with his loving family by his side.
Tom was born in Moncton on January 19th, 1948 the son of the
late Ephraim and Roberta Price.
Tom worked at the Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station
and for NB Power for 35 years before his retirement in 2003. An
outdoors enthusiast; he loved to hunt, fish and spend time on the
Canaan River. Tom enjoyed spending time with his lovely wife (Joey),
three daughters and his grandchildren. His family was his main
priority and cherished them above all else. He shared his passion for
the outdoors with his grandchildren, teaching them skills in life
which included driving, safety and most of all, encouraged them to
appreciate the beauty of nature. His family was
blessed to have had such a devoted husband, dad and
Papa. He will live on in the hearts of his family and friends
forever.
He will be deeply missed by his wife (Joey) of 51 years, who
he loved dearly and regarded as his best friend. He will be forever
cherished by his three daughters, Dawn Burhoe (Mark) of Hampton,
Kimberly Ritchie (Bruce) of Quispamsis and Leanne Dempsey (Wayne) of
Quispamsis; his six grandchildren, Jonah, Joshua, Sydney, Benjamin,
Madison and Claire; his sisters, Janet Marche of Toronto, Edith Bobak
of Vancouver, BC, Anne Allen (John) of Alberta and Kathryn Brunet
(Vince) of Bridgewater, NS; his brothers, Jim Price (May) of Yarmouth,
NS and Eric Price (Ann) of Pembrook, ON and brother-in-law, Danny
Jonah (Nancy). He will also be missed by several nieces, nephews and
good friends.
There will be a time of visitation on Tuesday, September
29th, 2020 from 5-7pm at the Albert County Funeral Home.
For those attending masks are required, social
distancing will be followed and a limited
number of people in the building
at one time.
The family would like to express their gratitude for the
personalized care given and the kindness shown to Tom in his time of
need. A special thank-you to the Extra Mural Team, his nurse Andrea,
the staff of Clinic C at the Moncton Hospital, Dr. Chinnathurai and
Danny Jonah.
For those who wish donations to the Bennett and Albert County
Health Care Foundation, SPCA, or charity of the donors choice would be
greatly appreciated.
