On Monday December 28th 2020, Thirunavukarasu Ponnampalam, loving husband of Amarawathy, father of Varathan, Suba, Arun, Reka, and Ramanan, grandfather of Oviya, Veynthan, Athikha, Seynthan, Achira and Alana, and father-in-law of Vathana, Schuren, Vasanthan and Havina, passed away at the age of 78.
This pandemic has taken so much from so many. We lost a man who fought all his life to be better than what fate had given him. For the past 9 years, he battled a rare form of Leukemia. He managed this disorder with such class, bravery and dignity. It?s unfair that Covid was what took him away from us. He challenged life and challenged us to be better each day by setting an example in the way he lived his life. He taught us how important it is to be independent and self reliant. He was so strong, handsome, hard working and had such confidence that no one and nothing could break.
I pray that he knows how much we love him and how proud we are of him. He was a blessing in our lives and we are forever grateful for all the precious moments we had together. The memories are what we have of him now and we will cherish them forever.
A private ceremony will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021 & A Hindu funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 3, 2021 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Chapel Ridge Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Markham, Ontario. Please note, due to COVID-19 restrictions, funeral visitation is limited to immediate family only.
