Thelma’s Obituary
Smith, Thelma Georgina (Miller, Hunt) – age 89 of Tatamagouche, passed away December 16, 2020 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Tatamagouche September 6, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Bernard and Elizabeth (Tattrie) Miller. Thelma was a wonderful mother to her ten children who will remember her great home cooked meals and because of her cooking skills, worked at numerous restaurants. She was an avid quilter having made quilts for all her children and many others. Thelma is survived by her children, Judith (Kenneth) Tattrie, Malagash; Jacqueline Langille, Bayhead; Larry (Joanna) Hunt, Tatamagouche; Harley (Laura) Hunt, Tatamagouche; Wendy (Bobby) Cameron, Tatamagouche; Wallace Hunt, Tatamagouche; Joanne (Larry) Tattrie, Tatamagouche; George (Donna) Hunt, Debert; Juanita Rayner, Australia; daughter-in-law, Sharon Hunt; 23 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; sister, Irene (Jim) MacKinnon; brother, Lloyd (Nancy) Miller; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, William “Bill” Smith; son, Bernard “Corky” Hunt; daughter-in-law, Heather Hunt; son-in-law, William Langille; grandson, Anthony Tattrie; brother, Curtis Miller; sister, Marion Saunderson; her children’s father, Wallace Hunt. Cremation has taken place and as with her wishes, no visitation or public service will be held. Memorial donations to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
