Terry Kern
On the morning of April 3, 2020, Terry James Kern of Leamington passed away at the age of 60. Terry was born to John and Kathleen Kern in 1959 at Leamington Hospital. He received his Cooking Certificate in 1983 and spent the majority of his career cooking for Sherman’s Station in Leamington and the Car Barn in Wheatley, where he provided broasted chicken to many satisfied customers. Terry also worked for many years delivering food to restaurants throughout Es County for the Leamington Food Outlet. In June 1995, he married Mary Ann Kern, and together lovingly raised two children. Terry was an amazing chef! When he wasn’t working at the restaurant or out catering, he was cooking delicious meals at home for his friends and family. He was an avid fisherman and renowned for his perch dinner with french fries and unbeatable gravy. He was a big jokester with a big heart and a selfless nature. Terry is preceded in death by his parents and will be missed most by his wife, his two children, Derik Hyatt (Erin Shanks) and Jennifer St. Louis (Steven St. Louis). He loved his two grandchildren, Maximus and Paige St. Louis, his brother and sister-in-law, Tab and Marty Kern, several cousins and his two grandpuppies, Mahalo and Hollie. He will be greatly missed by many friends and family members. A memorial service is not possible at this time, but will be holding a memorial in the future. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Terry to crohnsandcolitis.ca and brentwoodrecovery.com.
