KULYK, Sylvester “Syl” SVM
December 6, 1938 – December 10, 2020
Syl passed away peacefully at Oliver Lodge Care Home. He will be forever missed by his loving daughters Danita (Harvey) Lang, Lynda Wiebe, and Camille (Perry) Kool, grandchildren and great-grandchildren Brandon Lang, Sheena (Brian) Fleming (Hailey and Jacob), Jacqueline (Guillaume) Pelletier (Audrey and Blake), Bruce (Melissa) Wiebe (Amelia and Eloise), Jonathan Wiebe, Alyssa (Kayla) Wiebe (Nixon and Dillon), Adam Wiebe (Landon and Hayes, and their mother Erin Tenetuik), Jordan Kool and Aaron Kool. He is also mourned by Brad (JoAnn) Wiebe, as well as sister-in-law Ruby-Jean Mandin and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and the neighbors in Hudson Bay Park where Dad resided for 58 years. He was predeceased in 2019 by his wife of 59 years Ivadelle, siblings Jean (John) Huziak, Morris (Doris) Kulyk, Bernie (Theresa) Kulyk, granddaughter Kayla and grandson Baby Boy Kool. Dad taught in the Catholic School system for 30 years and was actively involved as a volunteer in the community and at numerous events. He was an Amateur Radio Operator (VE5YK), Anavet member, and the owner/operator of Syl’s Repair Service. Dad was an avid sports fan and loved cheering on his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren at a variety of events. We would like to thank the community of St. Volodymyr Village for welcoming Dad so warmly, as well as the staff at Oliver Lodge for treating him with such loving care. Donations to Oliver Lodge, 1405 Faulkner Cr., Saskatoon S7L 3R5 may be made in his memory. Due to the Covid restrictions, a service will be held at a later date in 2021.
