La célébration de
Steven Anthony Cox
29 juin 1959 –
29 février 2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Steven Anthony Cox on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Toronto Western Hospital.
Born in Toronto on June 29, 1959, Steven was the son of the late Ronald and Irene Cox. Left with fond and precious memories are his beloved brother Russell Cox and adored sister Renata (Lucio) DelZotto. Cherished uncle to David (Angela) DelZotto, Christina (Michael) Lagos and Lindsay Cox. Sorely missed by his great-nephews, Emilio and Sebastian and all his aunts, uncles, cousins, godchildren and his close circle of friends.
Steven loved his alma mater, Western’s, Ivey School of Business, where he graduated in 1982 and maintained a relationship over the years, working first with Samuel A. Martin on his book, “An Essential Grace”, later in Nairobi (Kenya), and continuing his research and writing business cases in the following forty years.
Steven was passionate about politics and dedicated time to volunteer and manage campaigns, always ready to bring his infectious energy to whichever community needed it most.
Steven was a devotedly loyal and generous person; he will be inexpressibly missed by all whose lives he touched. He will be remembered for his love of books, music, writing, and his adoration for studying politics, film and popular culture.
We’d all like to extend a very special thank you to the ICU team and the nurses on the 5th floor for their warm and supportive care. The entire family would also like to express their sincerest gratitude to Dr. Marcus Butler, of Princess Margaret Hospital, and Dr. Mark Bernstein, of Toronto Western Hospital, for their work, research and treatment with Steven.
