SNIDER, Allen H.
October 19, 1951 – September 29, 2020
Allen passed away peacefully with his loving wife Susan by his side at the Wetaskiwin Hospital after a valiant 3 year & 8 month struggle with cancer.
Allen was an aviation pilot with an exemplary safety record. He always said a safe pilot is a well trained pilot. His log books start in July 1972 and his last entry October 29, 2010. A 38 year span of safety first in aviation training and passenger comfort.
His high safety standard also was instilled into his home and recreation. Any activity such as boating, skiing, snowmobiling, seadooing, camping, motorcycling or just driving down the road had to be done with safety first.
Allen is survived by his wife Susan; step-children and grandchildren, Carly (Kristy) and Hayden, Amelia, Stefanie (Matthew) and Lily, Norah and Hanna. He was very proud of his growing family and was a wonderful Opa.
Allen is also survived by his sister-in-law, Bev; twin sisters, Patricia (Ken) and Barb; brothers, Brian (Marie), Gary (Karen) and all their children. Allen was proud of all his nieces and nephews and loved them all.
He was predeceased by his parents, Alice and George and older brother, George.
As per Allen’s wishes, due to Covid-19 restrictions, safety for everyone is a priority and no funeral service will be held. Cremation has taken place and final resting place for him will be done at a future date.
If you wish, when you have your next family gathering or in a quiet moment at home, drink a toast to Allen and share your favorite Allen story with your family and friends.
Instead of flowers or cards, consider making a donation to any children’s charity as the well being of children was so important to him.
