Simon Elbaz
It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our cherished “Papa” who passed away peacefully, at home, on Saturday, October 24, 2020, and wish this beloved man well on his next spiritual journey. He was ninety-two, but when asked, he may have told you he was “quarante-douze”. Simon was and continues to be loved by his wife, Suzanne Edery, his many children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and many friends.
Simon led a full and adventurous life, always choosing family as his first priority. He gave selflessly to those close to him, and during many turbulent times, shielded the family and worked hard to ensure our stability, support and well-being. Simon was governed by duty and responsibility. He leaves a legacy steeped in family values. He truly was the consummate family man.
Simon loved his trips to Florida, and sunbathing, cherished beach walks, family gatherings, Wheel of Fortune, The Price is Right, cigarettes, scotch and horses – all in moderation – and managed to live a balanced life with few regrets. We already miss him dearly. The family will hold a private graveside service on Monday, October 26. The funeral will not be webcast.
