Sheldon Ronald « Joe » Blenkhorn
Blenkhorn, Sheldon Ronald “Joe” – Age 82, Brookside, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2020 at home with his family by his side. He was born a son of the late Edgar and Elizabeth “Betty” (Hughes) Blenkhorn on August 7, 1938. Sheldon is survived by his wife of 55 years, Evelyn (Stewart); daughter, Shelley (Steve) Roy; son, Paul; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Gordon and sister, Ada Jamieson. Sheldon enjoyed playing cards, camping and local Maritime auto racing. He started Blenkhorn’s Auto Recyclers in 1967 and three generations have carried on his legacy. On his behalf, his family wishes to thank his work family for their support.
They also express their appreciation to the VON – Truro and Palliative Care for their caring and kindness. Donations in Sheldon’s memory may be made to VON – Truro or St. David’s United Church, Bible Hill.
