Peacefully on September 19th, 2020 at the age of 81; Ron Murray passed away at Strathmere Lodge. Loving husband of Sharon for 54 wonderful years. Cherished father to Tim Murray (Melanie Coppard) and Jason (Karen) Murray. Proud grandfather of Keenan, Alexandra, Zachary and Alaya. Predeceased by brother Gordon Murray. He will be dearly missed by both his family and friends.
Ron worked at London Life for 33 years as a computer analyst and enjoyed the friendships and comradery of his fellow peers and co-workers.
His love of music was strong and was displayed through his joy in singing within the Strathroy Chorale for nearly 30 years. Flying model airplanes with his 2 sons brought him a lot of joy and crashing. Ron’s hobby of woodworking was a gift to others, including his grandchildren who each received their own handmade bed.
A “stubborn Scotsman” that never gave up, Ron’s boisterous personality was enjoyed by many.
A visitation will take place on September 24th, 2020 at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY with memorial service to follow. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Strathmere Lodge Auxiliary, VON Middle Elgin or Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
