Retired longtime employee of Canadian Tire, Brockville.
Passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital, Garden Street Site on Sunday, March 1, 2020. Rolland Charles Hellyer, at the age of 88 years.
Beloved husband of the late Lillian (Boisvert) Hellyer and cherished father of Guy Hellyer (Kathy) and Danny Hellyer (Melanie). Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Allan (Annie), Cory, Brandon (Meaghan) and Alesha; and by his great grandchildren Elize, Emma and Logan. Dear brother of Ruth Forrest (Jim deceased), Gladys Jacques (George deceased) and Patricia Knowles (Al deceased). Also survived by his sister-in-law Doreen Hellyer; his brother-in-law Joe Hannewyk and by many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by brothers Kenneth, Bob (Nancy) and Frederick (May) Hellyer and by sisters Phyllis Hamelin (Harold) and Barbara Hannewyk.
A private family service and reception will take place at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville. Interment at Oakland Cemetery at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
