Reverend James « Bruce » Robertson
Reverend James « Bruce » Robertson – age
90, recently of Wolfville, NS, passed away after a brief illness on
Tuesday, November 3, 2020 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born
in Montreal, Quebec, he was the only child of the late James Fraser
and Hylda (Bruce) Robertson. He was an accountant before feeling
called to the ministry. He attended Presbyterian College in Montreal,
then Andover Newton Theological Seminary in Massachusetts, where he
met his wife, Dorothy. They were married in 1961 and began their
ministry together. Prior to retirement, Bruce was minister at St.
Andrews Presbyterian Church, Westville, NS. He also ministered in
various Presbyterian churches in Nova Scotia, Quebec, Ontario, and
Alberta. Bruce is remembered as a kind and generous person, always
concerned for others, no matter who they were. He was involved in
community activities, enjoyed reading (especially local history),
stamp collecting, and doing puzzles of all kinds, and he was an avid
fan of the Montreal Canadiens, Boston Red Socks, and New England
Patriots. Bruce is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Baker) Robertson;
children, Susan Mosher (Philip), Bonnie Coram (Christopher), and
Douglas Robertson (Sarah); and grandchildren, Benjamin and Sarah
Mosher; Rebecca, Angela and Jeremy Coram; Andrew and David Robertson.

Valley Regional Hospital in Kentville, especially Dr. Colin Burgoyne.
A private family service will be held in the White Family Funeral
Home, Kentville, followed by burial in the Lorne Street Cemetery, New
Glasgow, NS. Donations in memory may be made to Presbyterian World
Service and Development or a food bank of your choice. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and
