TRUDELL: Raymond Francis
1923- 2020
Peacefully at Chatham’s Riverview Gardens, Raymond passed away from natural causes on June 17, 2020 in the same building in which he was born 97 years ago.
Beloved husband of Camilla (nee Glavin) for 70 years.
He is survived by his children: Mary Carol (Ted Heaven), David (Marilyn), Catherine, Vincent (Sheila Jones) and Brian.
Loving grandfather of 13 grandchildren and of 7 great-grandchildren.
He also leaves his sisters: Angela Gagner, Claire Morrice, Marie Ouellette and Lucille (George) Kir as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his baby sister Rita, young brother Maurice and brother Gerard (1994).
He was a lifelong and proud farmer from Tilbury East. His lifelong goal was to have the most weed-free farm in the township.
The family wishes to thank all staff members at Riverview Gardens for their exemplary and compassionate care provided.
Visitation will be held at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Sunday, June 21, 2020. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, those hoping to attend the visitation must schedule at time online at signup.com/go/AtgYuiD or phone us at 519-351-2040. No one will be permitted at the visitation without a scheduled time. The Bereavement Authority of Ontario have mandated that everyone attending must wear a mask.
A Private Family Mass will be held at St. Francis Xavier Church, Tilbury with an interment to follow at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.
If desired, a memorial donation may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of your choice.
