Raymond Arthur Piché
1943-2020
Raymond « Ray » Arthur Piché,
passed away on November 4, 2020 in Fredericton, New Brunswick, at the
age of 77. He was born in McLennan, Alberta on June 15, 1943, son of
Dr. Arthur Piché and Mrs. Régine
(Côté) Piché. Raymond was a successful
businessman, with his last venture being an insurance brokerage in
Edmonton. While Raymond was busy working and raising a family, he
found time to give back to his community by volunteering in numerous
organizations including Cub Scouts, Saint Joachim and Saint Thomas
Manors, the Franco newspaper, school parent committees, and the Heart
and Stroke Foundation. His passions through the years included
hunting, fishing, hiking and skiing in the Rockies, classic cars,
travelling and RVing. He put his construction skills to good use, even
building a house for his family. The house still stands today! He also
had a very soft spot for dogs, especially his beloved Munchkin and
Alfie. In retirement, Raymond fulfilled a lifelong dream when he moved
to an acreage outside Cochrane, Alberta with unending views over the
Wildcat foothills and the Rocky Mountains. As he got older and his
health was failing, he moved to Nova Scotia and then New Brunswick to
be close to his daughter Danielle. Raymond is survived by his wife of
55 years, Marie-Claire (Lussier), son, Paul (Marianne Remseth), two
daughters, Nicole (Paul Hainsworth) and Danielle (Patrick Miklos), six
grandchildren, Frederik, Helena, Daniel, Théo,
Amélie, and Chloé and three sisters,
Renée, Margo, and Evelyn. He was predeceased by his parents
and sister Jocelyn. The family would like to request photo and special
memory submissions to compile a tribute celebrating
Raymond’s life. When completed, the photo tribute will be
shared with everyone in lieu of a traditional funeral, in lead-up to a
memorial at an appropriate time. Please use the following link by
