Peacefully, due to complications resulting from COVID-19, on Sunday, December 13, 2020, in her ninety-fifth year. Beloved and adored wife of the late Sam for sixty-six years. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Steve and Arleen, Ronni and Jerry Jacobson, Debbie and the late Howard Anson. Treasured Bubby of Jodi and Derek, Bonnie and Andrew, Neil and Raquel; Allison and Sam, Heather and Zach, Matthew; Gillian and Gary, Jamie and Yannick, and Michael. Proud “Big Bubby” of Samantha, Maya, Abby, Benji, Marissa, Noah and Chloe. Dearest sister and sister-in-law of the late Sophie and the late Moe Shapiro, the late Jack and the late Lil Wiseman, the late Thelma and the late Manny Greenblatt, the late Neville and Greta Wiseman; and sister-in -law of Edith and the late Cobby Engelberg, the late Myer and the late Gertrude Engelberg. Phyllis will be lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, family, and friends. The family is eternally grateful to Florida Campo who cared for Phyllis and allowed her to live with dignity and grace. Special thanks to the team of 6 South at Maimonides. Private graveside service will take place Tuesday December 15. Shiva strictly private.
