Pamela Parsons Collings
1949-2020
It is with heavy hearts and a deep sense of loss that we announce that
Pamela Parsons Collings, age 70, passed away at Hospice House in
Fredericton on Saturday, April 25, 2020 after a brief battle with
cancer.
Pamela loved many well, and was well loved by many. Her smile,
positive optimism, loving generosity, community mindedness, no
nonsense take charge approach, energetic enthusiasm, and fun sense of
humor will be remembered and missed. Whether excelling in her career,
which for a season brought her from Fredericton to Calgary, or in
being involved on boards or in volunteer activities after returning to
New Brunswick, Pamela lived a full life. Pamela particularly enjoyed
life amidst the Grand Lake community. She liked playing golf and
Bridge, generously sharing a lobster and mussel meal with visiting
family and friends, having fun with others and laughing lots, spending
time with her dogs, and being involved with her church community in
Minto. Her children consider themselves privileged to have been
blessed with the God-given gift of such a wonderful mother (Psalm
139:13) who was a mom, a friend, a cheerleader, a teacher, a hero, and
more.
Pamela was predeceased by her father Roger Webster, mother Francis
Finnamore, brother David Webster, and husband David Collings.
She is survived by her partner, Dwaine Hargrove, who she loved dearly;
by her children (with Trueman Parsons): Tamara Graham and Noah (Kim);
by her stepchildren: Leann, Michelle Martin (Gerard), and by Heath
(Pamela); by her grandchildren: Zachary, Jacob, Chloe, and Sarah, and
Christopher, Diedre, Nicole, Kaitlynd, Courtney, and Ben; and by
several great-grandchildren and other relatives.
Thank you to all the staff at Hospice House in Fredericton for the
compassionate and loving care expressed toward Pam.
No funeral service will be held. A grave-side service and celebration
of life will be held at a future date.
