Norman Douglas Renals
October 20, 1931 – July 1, 2020
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Norm Renals on
Wednesday July 1, 2020 at the age of 88. Members of Norm’s family were
fortunate to be able to be by his side that morning at Orchard View and
sincerely thank the nursing staff for making an exception in these
restrictive times.
Norm was a devoted husband to his late wife Dorothy (Doll) and a loving
father to his daughters Kim and Teal. Papa… Read More » will be missed dearly by his
grandchildren Rowen Gray, Maeve Gray, Ian Renals, Roderick Doe,
Christopher Doe and Zoe Towne and remembered by his sister in-law Judy
Bowers, brother in-law Larry McInerney, niece Kathleen, nephew Chris and
many friends.
Norm had a great love for life and the outdoors including skiing,
kayaking, canoeing, water skiing, camping, gardening and sharing this
love with his family. He shared a love for the arts as well, building
intricately carved wood furniture, stone sculptures and playing flamenco
on the guitar. Home was magically alive with art, music, dancing and
laughter.
A special thank you to the staff at Orchard View in Almonte who took
such good care of Norm in his last years, making his days comfortable
and happy and our condolences to Claire a true friend who made his last
months so wonderful
Thank You!
