Obituary
DAWSON, Norman
Norman Ernest Dawson passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at the age of 85.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 56 years, Anne-Marie Dawson; his children Lynn Dawson (Morey Koplovich and children Justin, Mickey and Tyler), Darleen Holroyd (Kevin), Darryl Dawson (Kendra and children Connor and Delaney), Rodney Dawson (Jessica and daughter Pearl), Rosalie Tischler (Laurie and children Amanda and Hailey), Brian Dawson (Lana and children Ava and Tia) and Bradley Dawson (Orilee and children Mary and Erik); his sisters Faith and Gloria; his brother in-laws and their spouses; and numerous other family members. He is predeceased by his parents William and Pearl, his brothers Bill and Walter and sisters Jesse and Dorothy.
Norman and Anne-Marie farmed and raised their family near Shaunavon, Saskatchewan until 2002 when they retired and moved to their new home in Saskatoon. No matter where home was, Norman’s love for family and farming was strong even as he struggled with Parkinson’s disease and dementia in the last few years. We will miss you and hold on tight to our memories of the loving husband, father and gentleman farmer who worked hard and cared for all around him.
The family would like to thank Dr. J Hosain for his care of Norman over the last few years and the wonderful staff of Sherbrooke Community Centre for their care and compassion that they provided Norman and the family during his time there. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sherbrooke Foundation by visiting their website at sherbrookefoundation.ca
There will be no funeral service at this time; Norman will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery in Saskatoon on Thursday, October 22, 2020 with immediate family present only.
