Obituary of Noel Michael Power
Noel Michael Power passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on December 5, 2020 at the Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, ON.
He is survived by his cherished wife of 47 years, Lucia; loving father of Neoma (Kevin), Eamon (Tanya) and Kieron. He is fondly remembered as Papa by his grandchildren, Ealish and Colm; his brothers, Liam and Desmond; and his sister, Antoinette.
He was predeceased by parents, William and Elizabeth Power, and his sister, Madeline.
Noel was born on November 29, 1945 in Dublin, Ireland. Noel and his wife Lucia immigrated to Canada, and settled in Waterloo with their three children. He worked as an upholster for over 50 years in both Ireland and the Waterloo Region. Noel played soccer for the Homefarm Dublin team for many years and continued to play when he settled in Waterloo. He is a longtime supporter of the Manchester United FC. Noel is also known by many friends from going to the Duke of Wellington for over 40 years.

A visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, December 10, 2020 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, 173 Lourdes St. Waterloo, on Friday, December 11, 2020 at 10 a.m. Cremation will follow. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, all visitors must wear a personal face covering and RSVP to the funeral home by calling 519-745-8445 for both the visitation and Mass.
