Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Noëlla Marie (LeBlanc) Cormier, who went peacefully on December 18th, at the Loch Lomond Village Nursing Home with loved ones by her side. Born in Gardner, Massachusetts on December 21st, 1926, Noëlla was the daughter of the late Alyre and Henriette (Pellerin) LeBlanc.
Noëlla was raised in Bouctouche, where she had her first date under the tree on the family’s property, meeting the man who grew to be the love of her life, Leandre Cormier. The couple moved into a lovely Saint John home, built by Leandre himself, where they continued to raise a beautiful family of their own. A loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. In her earlier years, Noëlla worked at Keddy’s Motel and in housekeeping. She enjoyed cooking, dancing, the holidays (especially Halloween), and making people laugh. Noëlla loved to travel and cherished her many trips to Bouctouche with her family. Having an enormous heart and beautiful disposition, Noëlla left impressions on everyone she encountered, and she will be deeply missed by all.
Noëlla is survived by her daughter Linda Cormier of Saint John; brothers Albert LeBlanc, Norman LeBlanc, and Donald LeBlanc; sisters Georgina LeBlanc, Clara Hobbes, Dorina Boucher and Oriza McGrath; grandchildren Julia Feltus, Heather Myers-Hirsh and Daniel Myers, and three great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents and husband Leandre, Noëlla was predeceased by her son Donald Cormier (Carol), daughter Jeannine (Cormier) Myers, and siblings Lucina Osman, Dora McGrath, Hector LeBlanc, Norman LeBlanc, and Yvon LeBlanc.
The family would like to thank the lovely staff at the Loch Lomond Village Nursing Home for their endless compassion, sincerity, and efforts throughout Noëlla’s stay.
