It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Nicola Khouri, age 92, who passed away peacefully at Health Sciences North on November 25th, 2020. Born on April 19th, 1928, in Damascus, Syria where he married his wonderful wife of 68 years, Souad Nassif Khouri, predeceased March 9th, 2020. They moved their family to Sudbury in 1985 where they have happily lived since. Predeceased by his parents Moussa Khouri and Zakiah Baram and his siblings Mary, Antoinette, and George. He will be greatly missed by his brother Antoin, his four sons Samir Alkhoury (Catherine), George Khouri (Nadia), Milad Khouri (Amal), and Issa Khouri (Nawal), and three daughters Marie Malakieh (Elias), Fadia Aboukassm (Edward), and Loudie Elias (George), as well as his 33 grandchildren and 49 great grandchildren. He will be remembered as the loving patriarch of his family. He loved travelling and cherished spending time with his family. The family would like to thank all the Nurses and PSW’s who helped to look after him over the past few years.

Interment in the family plot at the Civic Memorial Cemetery.
