It is with great sadness we wish to announce the peaceful passing of Carolyn Nierop in Surrey, B.C., on August 24, 2020, at the age of 75. She has gone to be with her loving Saviour Jesus Christ, and all though we mourn her passing, we will see her again one day in heaven.
Carolyn was born in Andijk, the Netherlands, in 1945, and immigrated to Canada in 1971.
She was predeceased by both parents, two older brothers, and three older sisters.
Carolyn is survived by her younger brother, Dirk (Lieset) of the Netherlands, as well as two sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, and many nieces and nephews and extended family.
Carolyn loved travelling with her best friend Rita, and she enjoyed needlepoint, sewing, and many other needlework crafts.
Carolyn worked in the medical field, assisting the elderly for many years as a caring and dedicated support worker.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew her; she was a beautiful and caring soul.
A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
