It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our precious daughter, mother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, niece and friend, Nancy Lynn Lane on Tuesday, October 6th, 2020 in Edmonton, Alberta. Left to mourn is her mother, Beverley King (Don Snow), her precious “little Man” Carter, brothers Corey (Karen), Derek (Goar) and Daniel; her boyfriend Cory Jeannotte, Carter’s dad Coan (Janet) nieces & nephews Ryan, Rachael, Brice and Emily; Aunts and Uncles Eric (Marilyn), Bonnie (Tony), Ed (Patti), David (Theresa), Bill (Gail), Lloyd (Lorna), Bernice (Frank), Alverna (Mike), Cecilia, Leonard, Jerome (Pricilla), Anita, Philomena (Rick), Alonzo, Rob (Nicky), great aunts & uncles Cicely, Ruth Bill, Freeman (Sandi), and Jackie and numerous cousins and friends. Predeceased by her father Gerard Lane, grandparents Harold & Bessie King , James & Francis Lane, Uncle Ron and special Uncle “Him”.
Carter was the love of her life and she loved him with all of her heart and soul. He was her “little Man” and they spent hours listening to music and dancing. Everyone knew when Nancy was around and never left a room without hugging everyone and saying “I love you”.
One of her friends wrote” You’ve touched a lot of people in your short time on earth and left a lasting impression on all those who had the privilege of knowing you. Your loud laugh, sense of humor and slick dance moves will forever be remembered. But most of all for the compassionate friend you were to all who crossed paths with you.
A memorial service will be held in Edmonton after which she will be brought home to be returned to her father’s arms in Buchans United Cemetery. Details to follow with dates and time of services.
In her memory donations can be made to the Carter Black Education Fund, c/o Corey Lane, 17 White’s Avenue, Pasadena, NL A0L 1K0 or etransfer to carter@flowit.ca
Our heartful thanks go out to Greens Funeral Home for making the arrangements to have Nancy brought back home.
The world will be a much darker place without the light of your smile, the sound of your laughter and the love from your big heart. Fly high with the Angels my darling girl – till we meet again. We love you!
