Obituary of Murray Sitch
Murray Leonard Sitch, of Georgian Bluffs and originally from Thunder Bay, passed away suddenly at his home on Friday evening, December 4th, 2020 at the age of 64 years.
Dearly loved husband and best friend of Linda for 33 years. Loving father of Robert. Beloved son of the late Edwin and Donna Sitch. Dear son-in-law of Roberta Dow and the late Gordon Dow and brother-in-law of John Dow (Madonna Decker). Murray will be missed by his lifelong friends, Pat and Rod Sein. Thank you to Brenda Heathers and Krista Gardiner-Byers for their caring friendship. Murray is also missed by his feline friends, Mollie, Hazel and Vera.
Murray started his career with the MNR at 17 as a Junior Ranger and continued as a Forest Fire Fighter working in Canada and the US mainly from his home base at Shebandowan, Ontario. Shebandowan was a second home for Murray and he treasured the friendships he made there. Murray took early retirement to enjoy travel and adventures throughout Canada and the US with Linda, Robert and friends. Murray loved being outdoors and was an avid bird watcher. This year’s migration was the last he saw and now he has gone home on his own journey.
There will be no service at this time but a celebration of life will be held at a later date, when we can once again hug each other.
