It is with great
sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Muriel Jeffries at
the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Thursday, October 8,
2020 surrounded by the people she loved most. Muriel was a wonderful
wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She added a sparkle
to our world that impacted each of us in a way we were never prepared
to part with. Our only solace is knowing she has been reunited with
the love of her life in
heaven.
Muriel leaves
behind her three children Tracy (Serge), Robert and Nick (Leanne),
nine grandchildren (Robyn, Whitney, Robert, Tara, Erin, Kendra, Emily,
Tyler, and Alex) and four great-grandchildren (Allie, Harper, Hudson,
and Grayson). In addition to her immediate family, Muriel is survived
by her brothers Danny and Jack, her sister, Tammy as well as several
nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Bob, her parents
Nelly and Bernie Beavan and her infant sisters (Sharon and
Karen).
She was born on
September 12, 1946 in Bracebridge, Ontario. Fifteen years later she
met her soulmate, Bob. In their course of over 50 years together, they
instilled the core values in which our family stands on to this day.
Muriel was the glue that held our family together, she had a strength
within her that only those closest to her could truly
understand. She was an amazing woman who found great comfort
in witnessing the happiness of those she loved. Muriel was an avid
horse enthusiast, with a passion for all animals. She found
fulfillment through reading, swimming, bowling, and anything chocolate
but most importantly, she was a fulltime « Gram », and
constantly showed us what it means to be a
family.
In keeping with the
Covid-19 restrictions, there will be no funeral or visitation. Instead
a small gathering by invitation only will be held on Monday, October
12th. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish,
contributions can be made to the NBSPCA in Muriel’s name.
Personal condolences may be offered through www.bishopsfuneralhome.com
The family would
like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of 4SW and the
Palliative Care Unit at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital for
their care and support during this difficult
time.
« The laughter that would fill the room in your
presence will not be absent without you, but more bountiful because of
your soul that will live on within us for the rest of our
lives. » – Emily
