HOFFMAN, Morty – Our beloved, sweet Morty passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020. Devoted husband and best friend of Shiffie (Tkatch). Cherished father and father-in-law of Jodine and Jon Zelman, Russ and Nancy Hoffman. Adored Zaidy of Sean and Talia Zelman, Sam and Reese Hoffman, all who had a special bond with him and brought so much joy to his life. Dear brother of Eleanor Kirsh and special friend of her partner David Mali. Brother-in-law of Goldie and the late Larry Gruman, the late Fagie and the late Denis Archambault. Admired uncle to his many nieces and nephews. Morty loved his extreme relationships with his family, friends and grandpets, (cats and fish). Whomever he would meet became his pal.He leaves behind many broken hearts! He loved nature and country life enjoying many years at his country cottage in the Laurentians and many years in Picton in the County. Morty was an avid sports fan, kept abreast of all major events in the sport world by his grandsons. He himself was physically active and participated in many sports. Running being his main passion and was a proud member of the Wolf Pack in Montreal. He was extremely knowledgeable and well versed in the Jazz music world. Morty was a closet poet and wrote many unique poems for family and friends over the years. Special thanks to his Doctors, especially Andrew Feifer, who went above and beyond. Sender Herschorn, Robin Mark Pellow, David Perkins and Michael Teitelbaum, all involved in his well-being over the years. He will be missed each and everyday and will remain in our thoughts and hearts forever. We love you « pie-sweetie, « always a pleasure ». Rest In Peace, you deserve it. All your « honeys ».
