Milovan Valencic
May 24, 1934 – December 13, 2020
Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home on Sunday, December 13th, 2020, Milovan Michael Valencic, aged 86 years.
Milovan Valencic was born in Viškovo, Croatia on May 24th, 1934 and he immigrated to Canada in 1954 where he worked as a Mechanical Supervisor with Ontario Hydro and with the Iron Ore Company of Canada in Labrador City.
Predeceased by his parents Anton and Victorijia Velencic; and brother-in-law Leo (Elizabeth) White.
Left with fond and loving memories are his devoted wife and best friend Mary; daughter Victoria (Charles) Walters; son Michael Valencic; grandson Michael Walters; brothers Anton (Andjelka) Valencic, Josip (Maria) Valencic; step granddaughter Shawna Walker; step great-granddaughter Tiara Walker; brother-in-law William (Mary) White; nieces and nephews Vesna, Goran, Jasna, Christopher and Curtis; and many more relatives and friends in both Croatia and Ontario.
Milovan was a man with many talents and achievements which he shared in various ways; as a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus, a friend of MUN Botanical Gardens and as a sports enthusiast who enjoyed not only participating in curling, golfing and fishing in the Wilds of Labrador, but also sharing his knowledge and love of soccer as a coach. Milovan was a loving, caring and generous friend. He remembered his hometown fondly and kept in touch with many relatives and friends in his country and abroad.

Cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 17th, 2020 from Mary Queen of Peace at 9:30 a.m. To stream this service please visit www.streamingservices.ca.
