Panchyshyn, Mike, left us peacefully from the Hamilton Juravinski Hospital, on Wednesday March 25, 2020, in his 90th year, with family present.
Mike was the loving father of his two daughters, Kathryn of Stoney Creek and Brenda of Hamilton; and of their five sons, Doug of Welland, Ted of Paisley, Michael of Sarnia, Joe of Owen Sound, and Tim of Allenford.
Mike will be forever loved and dearly missed by his seven children, 17 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren. “We could not have asked for a better earthly father, and can’t imagine anyone with a more honest and open heart than he had. We will be forever grateful for the Love of God that he consistently instilled in each of us.”
Mike is also survived by his sister, Elsie Kwasney, of Hamilton, sister-in-law Anne, of Toronto, and sister-in-law Jeanette (Norm) of Hamilton, and many loving nieces and nephews. Mike was a big man with a big heart, and was loved by everyone he knew.
Mike is predeceased by his loving wife Bertha, grandson Nolan, brothers John and Fred, sisters Anne and Adeline, and parents Peter and Margaret; all “with the hope of being together again in the Resurrection, through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ”.
A private Graveside service will be held at the Southampton Cemetery in Saugeen Shores, with immediate family only.
As soon as is suitable and safe for all to gather together – perhaps in a few months from now, a Celebration of Life will be scheduled, with time to remember and share our Love for Mike.
